Inkster is a city which is located in Wayne County of the U.S State of Michigan. Inkster was incorporated as a village in the year 1926 and as a city in 1964. This city is considered as one of the few suburbs in the Metro Detroit where the population is majority of African American people.
As of 2000 census, the city had an approximate population of 30,115.
This city was first settled by non-indigenous people in the year 1825. There is also a post office which was renamed after this city in 1863. The United States Census Bureau states that this city has a total area of 6.3 square miles, all of which is land.
