Michigan has an area of 253,793 sq km and a population of nearly 10 million people. Its capital city is Lansing.
Michigan is a mid-western state located in the central portion of the USA. Named after Lake Michigan, the state is bounded by four of the Five Great Lakes and has the longest freshwater shoreline in the country. Michigan is bordered in the south by Ohio and Indiana. The Porcupine Mountains and the Huron Mountains occupy a significant portion of the landscape. The state has around 12,000 inland lakes.

Flint is a pretty great place to live and visit. The health care community is diverse and has the best Doctors and hospitals in the state. Besides the automoblie industry being in decline, Flint has many other areas for people to work and study. We have many movie theaters, dance clubs, restaurants, a planitarium, skating rinks, museum, a children's museum (so much fun!) and many other things to do no matter what your intrests, we have something for everyone. Of course, the crime rate here is quite high, as reported on many occasions. But this is limited to only a certain section of town (like many other cities).

I HAVE LIVED here ALL MY LIFE and its going to hell make it into a tourist town, and advertise. We have some beautiful buildings just sitting there. Make the old Sperrys building into housing for the collage students. Make things affordable, Give student discounts, advertise specials.
