The city of Niles is situated near Berrien and Cass counties at Michigan. It is near the South Bend in Indiana. The total area is around 5.9 square miles (15.3 km²). The elevation of Niles is about 686 feet. The city is nicknamed as the ‘City of Four Flags’. The main newspaper of the town is the Niles Daily Star. As per the census of 2000, Niles had a population of about 12,204. It is believed that the town had been named after an editor of the Niles Register, a Baltimore newspaper, Hezekiah Niles.
