Saginaw is hosting an ice hockey team of the Major Junior Hockey League in Ontario (OHL), the Saginaw Spirit. The Saginaw River is a river which is 35 km long in the U.S. state of Michigan. It flows into the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron in the Port of Bay City. The river is an important shipping route to the central part of the state, through the cities of Saginaw and Bay City. Saginaw Bay is a bay forming part of Lake Huron, located between the thumb and the rest of the lower peninsula of the state of Michigan, USA.
The bay extends south-west 82 km from its entry point in the Sand (north-west) and point to Barques (south-east) and the Saginaw River at the end. The width of the bay ranges from 21 to 42 km. One of the recreational facilities in the city is the children’s zoo; the other places of tourist interest are the Temple Theatre and the Dow Event Centre. The city’s junior ice hockey team is hosted by “The Dow event centre”. The city has a good indoor football team.
