The city of Albert Lea is the administrative centre of the Freeborn County. It is situated in the south eastern side of the Minnesota state. As per the census of 2000 the population of the city was about 18,356. The city is at the meeting point of the two interstate highways. The basic revenue of the city was from agriculture and the support services for farming. The famous industries based in the city are Cargill, Edward manufacturing, Scotsman ice machines and Streater Store fixtures. A large number of people are employed by the Albert Lea Medical Centre/ mayo.  The city is named name after Albert Miller Lea, Albert Lea was the person who completed the survey of southern Minnesota. The hall of the city is situated at 221 East Clark St, Albert Lea. The city is spread out on an area of 12.6, miles and about 1.8 square miles is made of water.  The average income of a person in the city is about $32,841.
