Brainerd has a cool climate all over the year. This unique feature has helped tourism to boom in this area. One of the major tourism spots in Brainerd is the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area. This recreation area developed from the remains of the Cuyuna Iron Range. One can see remains of solid rocks and mine ores in this recreation area. Brainerd international Raceway is a well acclaimed destination in Brainerd. ‘Kart track’ and ‘drag strip’ are conducted in this raceway. NHRA National competitions are held in this track. A 583 acre nature reserve is present in Brainerd. It is called as the Northland Arboretum. Northland Arboretum provides an enhancing experience of cross-country skiing and hiking. Pond, arched bridge, youth garden and native tree trail are some of the attractions of Northland Arboretum. The other special sport attractions of the Minnesota state are skating, hockey, curling and broom ball. it also hosts some rare sports activities like snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and snowshoeing.
