Brooklyn Park is situated in Minnesota which is approximately nine miles to the NW of Minneapolis in Minnesota. This city lies along the banks of the Mississippi River which is in Hennepin County and is known as a suburb of Minneapolis. Once known as Brooklyn Township, it was split in 1860 with southeastern village and was incorporated into Brooklyn Center and Crystal Lake.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 26.5 square miles, of which 0.5 percent is water and 26.1 square miles is land.
This city is known as the sixth populous city in US State of Minnesota. The US Census Bureau estimated its population at 71,394 in 2009 and so compared to 2000 census, it has had a growth of 3.79 percent.
