Tourist Guide Coon Rapids
Coon Rapids is a city that can be found in the county of Anoka, in the state of Minnesota in the United States. This city is also a northern suburb of the Minneapolis. This is the ninth largest city in the county and also the fifth largest in its township areas. This unusual name was derived from “Coon Creek Rapids” which is a part of the great Mississippi River that meets this city at the mouth of the Coon Creek. The city is measured to be 60.5 sq. kilometres vast with land covering most of it. This city is also attached to the Cenaiko Lake and the Crooked Lake. The total number of people residing here is 68,578 according to a recent census. This city is a mixture of Whites, Afro-Americans and also Asians. There are special dams created for summers and also there are a number of schools and organisations that organise fests. Baseball is a favourite sport played here. The climate here is not so harsh but the summers can be a bit hot.
