Eagan city is located just south of Saint Paul in Dakota County in Minnesota State of United States of America. It is located on the banks of the Minnesota River. Eagan was originally an Irish farming community and was rewarded as the “onion capital of the united states”. It is the 8th largest city in Dakota County and has been internationally awarded as one of the best place to live in.Geographically Eagan is located at 44049’04” north and 93010’01” west. The city is situated about 958 ft above sea level. It covers a total area of 33.4 square miles which is mostly covered by land (32.3 square miles) with a small percentage covered by water (1.1 sq miles). The city is densely populated with a total population of about 63,751 people and a population density of about 1,996.6 per square mile. The majority of the city’s population belongs to the Whites (88.03%25) and also a mixed percentage of all races.
