Maple Grove is a city which is situated in Hennepin County in Minnesota. This city’s first inhabitants were Winnebago Indians until 1851 when Louis Gervais came and settled. This city is known for its large stands of maple trees and thus, it is also a vital source for maple syrup.
The population of the city was 50,365 as per the 2000 census. As of 2009, the population of the city is 61,868 people. Compared to 2000, this city has had a population growth of 20.29 percent. This city has grown to one of the most populated cities in the Twin Cities area and is also identified as one of the fastest growing cities in the state.
As per the US Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.0 square miles of which 2.1 square miles is water and 32.9 square miles is land.
