Moorhead is a city situated in Clay County in the state of Minnesota in U.S.A. The city lies in the Red River Valley which is said to be the most fertile land for agriculture in the world. As per the 2000 census, the city has a population of 32,177 inhabitants, most of who are Whites.
Moorhead has a pleasant climate with warms summers and dry winters. The city experiences four seasons and it is sunny 55%25 of the time. Snowfall is 36 inches on an average and rainfall is 16 inches annually. The city lies between the Dakota prairies to the west and the lakes and woods of Minnesota to the east. A number of festivals are held in city such as the Scandinavian Hjemkomst festival and Red River Valley Fair in June, the Pioneer Days in August and more.
