Rochester is a city situated in Olmsted County in the state of Minnesota in U.S.A. The city lies on the south of the Zumbro River and covers a total area of 39.8 sq miles. As per the 2007 census, the city had a population of 100,132 inhabitants making it the 3rd largest city in the state.
The city is nicknamed ‘Med City’ as it is home to the Mayo Clinic and has also been ranked 67th in the Money Magazine as one of the ‘Best Places to Live’. One can enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Quarry Hill Nature Center and also watching the wildlife and aquarium here. Smoking is prohibited at all indoor venues hence providing a healthy ambience. The city has a continental climate which makes summer’s mild and the winters extremely cold.
