Located in mid-western United States, Saint Paul is the capital city of the state of Minnesota. It is also the county seat of Ramsey County.
The largest city of the state, Minneapolis, lies to the west while the Mississippi River running through the city, forms the south-east and south-west boundary of the state. Due to its location, Saint Paul has been called ‘the last city of the east’.
Saint Paul has a continental climate which is characterised by cold winters and hot summers. The average temperature of the city in January is –10°C while that in July is 17°C.
The per capita income of Saint Paul is $ 20,216. Saint Paul and Minneapolis are often referred to as the ‘twin cities’. Saint Paul is probably most famous for the outstanding author, F. Scott Fitzgerald and the witty cartoonist Charles M. Schulz.
