Saint Paul: Attractions and more...
The rich cultural heritage of the city provides for some spectacular historical sites. The Landmark Centre, now a National Historic Landmark, has formerly served as the Federal Court House and Post Office for the upper mid-west. Visit Historic Fort Snelling and experience life at the frontier in the 1820s.
Saint Paul also offers some interesting options for the entire family, like a visit to the Minnesota Children’s Museum or the Como Zoo Park.
Having more shoreline with the Mississippi River than any other city, attractions along it are very popular in Saint Paul. In fact, a very effective way to tour the city is by taking a river cruise, like the one offered by Padelford Packet Boat Company.
The Minnesota State Fair Ground hosts several festivals, the biggest being the Minnesota State Fair. Festival of Nations, in April, features 100 groups presenting folk dances, cultural exhibits etc.
