Opened in 2006, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum took three years to complete and sits right on the Mississippi River. It is home to some of the most respected artists in the world. This museum has three galleries, café, an atrium, three major art collections and six acre garden. The museum has the largest collection of rare photographs along with maps of the upper Mississippi River by Henry Peter Bosse.
