Amory: Attractions and more...
There are a number of museums to visit in Armory like the Armory Regional Museum and the Choctaw Museum of the Southern Indian. The Grand Village of the Natchez Indians is a beauty undefied. The waterway provides boaters, water skiers and fishermen a great place to enjoy their pastime. There are numerous public access areas with boat ramps. In the honor of its cultural and historical heritage, the town of Amory celebrates the Festival of Railroad annually in the month of April.
This festival is celebrated in the Park of Frisco in Amory at the center. Among other attractions, the festival of railroad includes delicacies such as barbecues and apple fried fritters. Although it tends to rain in the month of April for one or more days the festival is always crowded with as much of as 40,000 people visiting the festival during the weekend.
