One can visit the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art which is known to be the oldest art museum in Mississippi. This museum is filled with some spectacular collections, having a wealth of outdoor recreation opportunities and even a dynamic 145 acre of Sportsplex. Laurel is considered as one of the most beautiful towns to see.  There are some historical places which were constructed in the early 20th century and which were built in architectural styles. These places of construction were also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The historical places include some classical and colonial revivals, bungalows and such craftsman.  There is also year around schedule of special events and festivals which one can get to see the event and also take part in and enjoy the event. One can also visit the Dixie Golf association, the South Mississippi Fair grounds and the Airport Bowling Lanes to enjoy the journey to the city.
