Blue Springs is a city situated in Jackson County in Missouri in the U.S.A. As per the 2006 census the city had a population of 53,885 inhabitants. The city covers a total area of 18.2 sq miles. Blue Springs has a cold climate and gets 20 inches of snowfall annually. There are 212 sunny days out of which January is the coldest month and July the warmest.
The Meramec River offers a lot of facilities for rafting, canoeing, kayaking as well as horseback riding and camping. There are several parks in the city including Burr Oak Woods, Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo. The Fall Fun Festival is held in the month of September for three days where over 100000 people come to enjoy the live entertainment, the carnival and take part in the parade. This annual festival is a fun fair enjoyed by all families.
