The Blue Springs High School Regiment is well known for its nationwide performances at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade and the most recent Barack Obama’s Inauguration Parade held on 20th January 2009. Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center covers 1,071 acre of land and has several nature trails, a bird sanctuary, wildlife viewing area and a three thousand gallon aquarium.
Dillingham Lewis Museum is a historical museum which was built in 1906 out of native limestone and displays period furniture. The house is named after the Morgan Vachel Dillingham family that lived here. Fleming Park is a great place to visit and provides an opportunity for sailing, boating, hiking, bird viewing, wildlife viewing, fishing and windsurfing in its 3 lakes which are spread out in the park. Missouri Town 1855 is an open air museum in the Fleming Park and has a village reconstruction of the life of the mid 1800s.
