Bridal Cave is a popular cave in this city where a legendary Indian wedding ceremony was held in the early 1800s. The Cave can still be used as a wedding chapel and has a Mystery Lake within its cavern. Bagnell Dam founded in 1931 has the largest manmade lake in the world, forming the Lake of Ozarks which has 1,150 miles of shoreline. There are water sports facilities here along with opportunities for boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming and more.
Ha Ha Lake of Ozarks State Park which is situated here has a wide variety of wooded hiking trails for up to 15 miles providing fantastic views of the surroundings. Tonka State Park is a geological wonder with an assortment of trees, wildflowers, springs, rock formations, castle ruins, caves, hiking trails, a natural bridge and rugged trails for all kinds of adventure. There are a number of golf courses in and around Camdenton which provide golf discount packages.
