The Missouri State Capitol is the state capitol building situated in Missouri. The domed building was actually designed by the New York architectural firm of Tracy and Swartwout. It got completed in the year 1917. This historic building is the third capitol building in Jefferson City. The dome rises to 238 feet above the ground level and is topped by a bronze statue of Ceres, the goddess of vegetation. The building is the first view of the city for travelers arriving from the north.
