The St. Joseph Metropolitan Statistical Area includes Andrew, DeKalb and Buchanan counties in Missouri. This city is also home to the Missouri Western State University.
This city was founded by Joseph Robidoux who was a local fur trader and this city was officially incorporated in 1843. The main east west downtown streets were named after his children. There were over 73,912 people in the city during an estimation survey in 2007.
