The open spaces and clean lines or the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis exude an aura that is both urban and modern, and perfectly conducive to modern art exhibits. Located at 3750 Washington Boulevard, the museum venue has a fittingly stark quality that allows the art to shine in all its unique glory. In fact, the building is a piece of modern art in itself, with its expertly crafted architecture, intriguing set-up and curving concrete walls.
In keeping with its dedication to innovation and relevance, the museum does not keep collections, but rather constantly changes and updates their exhibits to feature the most current and pertinent innovations in modern art. The Contemporary Art Museum is conveniently located in St. Louis’s Grand Center cultural arts district, and presents between six and eight exhibitions a year, so return visits to the museum never yield the same experience. The displays feature local, national and international artists who are diverse in artistic genre and method. It is dedicated to preserving and disseminating the talent of these artists and offers deals on admission to attract newcomers: Wednesdays and Saturdays offer free admission.
