Forest Park officially was opened to the public on June 24, 1876. This park is considered as one of the largest urban parks in the United States. It covers 1,293 acres of land. The Forest Park is one of St. Louis’ most treasured resources. It is located in the heart of the city.
It is the home to the region’s major cultural institutions. The features are zoo, Art, Museum, History Museum, Science Center and the Opera. It also serves as a sports center for golf, tennis, baseball and many more.
