Kalispell is a city in Montana, United States. It is also the county seat of Flathead County in Montana.

This city is considered as the largest city and the commercial center of Northwest Montana. The name, Kalispell is actually a Salish word, which means “flat land above the lake”.
According to the United States of Census Bureau, the city had a total area of 5.5 square miles, all of which is land in the year 2000. By 2008, the city area increased to around 11.4 square miles of land.
Moreover, this city has one of the largest natural freshwater lakes which are situated in the continental United States to the west side of the Mississippi River.
