Montana is a state in the Pacific Northwest and Great Plains region of the USA. It is the fourth largest state of the country and shares an 880 km border with Canada. The Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan touch the boundaries of Montana. In the east lies North and South Dakota, while the south is bound by Wyoming and the west by Idaho. The region is mountainous and has around 77 ranges of the northern Rocky Mountains.
