The Custer County Art and Heritage centre was opened in 1977. It is located in WaterWorks basins which was built in 1910 and produced drinking water for Miles City. It lies towards the west of Miles City, near the Yellowstone River. The place has two large galleries which are home to both changing and permanent exhibitions. The exhibit includes Contemporary and traditional art.
