Aurora is a city situated in Hamilton County, Nebraska in United States. As per the census in 2000 the population was 4,225. It is located at 40° 52’ 0” N 98° 0’ 13” W and the city has a total area of 1.9 square miles. Population density is 2,243 people per square mile. They were several racial casts in Aurora city, White, African American, Native American, Asian, Hispanic and other races.

Travelers created the “Great American Desert” conception in the eighteenth and nineteenth century because it was seen as vast emptiness in the center of the country. In 1861 David Mills Paw settled as the first permanent Anglo in the Aurora area.  The city is a progressive, growing community located in the heartland of United States.
