The scope and range of the collection of the Museum of the Fur Trade is very impressive. There are a very large number of objects which were exchanged between the Americans and the Europeans with the native people of North America. These are kettles, knives, axes, beads, blankets, guns and some unusual items like jewelry, tobacco boxes, trunks, playing cards, quill smoothers and gimlets.
