The Chadron State Park is located 9 miles towards the South of Chadron on U.S. 385. In the backdrop of this park, one can view the impressive beauty of the Pine Ridge. This park is spread over an area of 972 acres and the elevation of the park is five thousand feet. The dominant growth in this park is of ponderosa pines. This park lies in the midst of the Nebraska National Forest.
