Gering can be described as a city located in county of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, US. It’s, in fact, a portion of Scottsbluff, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. This city is also county seat of ‘Scotts Bluff County’.
Gering had been founded in the year 1887; that too, at base of bluff that’s a ‘National Park’ known as ‘Scotts Bluff National Monument’ at present. Scottsbluff had been founded across ‘North Platte River’ from bluff in the year 1900. Separated just by river, these 2 cities have grown collectively. As such, they form the seventh biggest urban region all over Nebraska.
