Omaha is located in Nebraska, USA. This city is spread over an area of around 308 sq km and has a population of 428,000 inhabitants approximately. The first inhabitants of the region were the Native Americans like the Pawnee, Otoe and Sioux. The region began developing in the nineteenth century on account of the flourishing fur trade business. The primary commercial activities in the city are dependent on the banking, insurance, telecommunications and the transportation industry. However the tourism industry has also come up very well recently.
The climate is warm and humid through most part of the year. It is better to visit the city during the winter months to escape the humidity. The topography of the region includes lakes, hills, meadows, lush vegetation, etc. to make it a sought after tourist destination.
