Plattsmouth was founded in the year 1855.

Plattsmouth went on to appear for the first time in the year 1854 in the form of ‘Barracks’, i.e. one of the trading posts established by none other than Sam martin; i.e. owner of Platteville ferry; along with many other people.

Median income with regards to a household had been $38844; whereas that with respect to a family had been $43425. Per capita income was $17153.
