Plattsmouth: Attractions and more...
Cass County Historical Museum performs the function of reciting history of County of Cass since the year 1854; i.e. the year when this county had been opened for ‘settlement’. ‘Permanent displays’ go on to depict numerous stages pertaining to county’s history. They have been supplemented by loads of temporary exhibits that get changed periodically all through the year.
At Cass County Historical Museum, visitors get to learn regarding ‘golden age’ of ‘steamboating’ on Missouri River, arrival of train, pioneer experience, and significance of agriculture. Permanent display’s second part covers religious life and churches, radio and telephone, age of automobile, entertainment, and schools.
