Scottsbluff enjoys the pride for being the biggest city across County of Scotts Bluff. Moreover, it’s the twelfth largest city within Nebraska; along with being panhandle’s biggest city.
Scottsbluff was discovered in the year 1900 across ‘North Platte River’. A bluff that has now been developed in to a ‘National Park’ is known by the name ‘Scotts Bluff National Monument’. Gering, a petite town, had been discovered on the southern side of the river. Since then, 2 cities, i.e. Scottsbluff and Gering have grown together; so as to form seventh biggest urban area all over Nebraska.
As per US Census Bureau, area of Scottsbluff is 15.4 sq. Km; out of which 0.67% consists of water. Just like the other cities of States; July is the hottest month; whereas January the coolest.
