Riverside Park is privileged enough to contain the sole zoo with Nebraska’s western part. It goes on to feature 3 lakes with loads of diverse recreation and camping areas; apart from one of the riverside trails which happens to run along banks of ‘North Platte River’. Riverside Zoo offers great experience on the botanical grounds with around thirty garden spots; that too, bursting with blooms of season.
Animals found in Riverside Zoo include American Bison, Mule Deer, Sandhill Crane, and pronghorn Antelope. Reptile House contains numerous lizards and snakes from across the globe. They include Carpet Python, Blue-Tongued lizard, Bearded Dragon, leopard Gecko; and Western hog-nosed snake. Raptor row houses birds such as Bald Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Great Horned Owl, and Swainson’s Hawk.
As such, there are many more sections and varieties to see.
