Carson City: Attractions and more...
The most effective way to tour Carson City is by following the Kit Carson Trail. The trail, named after the explorer who paved the way for Carson City, is a walking path, marked in blue, on the sidewalk of the city. The path includes nineteenth-century Victorian style homes, museums and churches.
The grandeur of Nevada’s architecture is best displayed in the silver-domed State Capitol and the other buildings in its complex. The history of the land is portrayed in the Nevada State Museum, inside the US mint. It features exhibits such as those illustrating the process of making coins.
Carson provides its visitors with an array of sports activities such as skiing, biking, hiking, hunting and fishing. The city is home to nine amazing golf courses, the Divine 9, set in the beautiful backdrop of the Sierra.
Festivals are a vital aspect of the city’s culture with events such as the Kit Carson Rendezvous and Wagon Train event depicting Nevada’s history.
