Clark County can be described as a county situated in ‘Southern Nevada’. It is a home of city of ‘Las Vegas’, i.e. the most densely populated city of Clark County.
Las Vegas enjoyed the status of being ‘county seat’ since its creation (creation of Clark County). Majority of Clark County had been a portion of Pah-Ute County, Arizona Territory prior to Nevada becoming a state.
As per US Census Bureau, total area of Clark County was 20960 sq. Km; out of which 2.23%25 consists of water. Colorado River goes on to form the south-eastern boundary of Clark County; with Lake Mead being formed by Hoover Dam.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Clark County was 1375765; with its density being 67 per sq. Km. Per capita income for this city was found to be 421785. Around 10.8%25 of total population was found to be below poverty line.
