The airport ranked 14th in the world for passenger traffic and handles more than 47 million passengers annually.
The airport is a hub for US Airways, Allegiant Air and Southwest Airlines. The airport covers a total area of 2,800 acres and has 4 runways. The airport has 2 terminals and plans to start a third one in 2011.
There are several facilities provided such as information booths, lost and found office, banking, internet and fax, eating and drinking joints, a range of shops from kids wear to jewelry.
There is an art gallery and an aviation museum within the airport where one can spend some time. There is a fitness center where massage is available 24 hours a day.
There is a user friendly touch screen computer system which facilitates speedy check ins for passengers.
