Bellagio is a 5-Diamond rated luxurious hotel and casino, which is situated on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise of Nevada in the US.
One of its prominent features is the artificial lake, spanning around 8 acres, which is located between the Strip and the hotel building. On this lake, there is the world-famous Bellagio Fountains, designed by WET Designs.
These are basically massive water fountains tuned to various pieces of music. The fountain display, repeated every 30 minutes each afternoon, happens right in front of the hotel and the display from 8 pm to midnight is every 15 minutes.
The fountain uses the lake water, which in fact is supplied from a well that was drilled several decades ago to irrigate a golf course. The estimated cost of construction is around $50 million.
The fountain utilizes an array of pipes submerged in the water with more than 1200 nozzles, which in sync with over 4500 lights, makes the fountain display possible.
