Winchester is about as close as you can get to the Strip without actually being there. Families visiting Las Vegas might be very pleasantly surprised to find a quiet, cheap vacation rental just minutes away from the action.
Take a breather on the oasis-style golf course at the Las Vegas National (1911 E. Desert Inn Rd.). Get your heart rate back up at the Winchester Skatepark (3130 McLeod Dr.). Kick back at the end of the day and enjoy a cool drink at Jake's Bar (2301 S. Eastern Ave.) or Mayan Bar & Grill (2797 S. Maryland Pkwy).
So, when you're required to take care of your kids, but you want to remember what life was like before you had them, stay in Winchester and get the best of both worlds.
