Mesquite can be described as a city located in county of Clark, Nevada, US; along with being adjacent to ‘Arizona State Line’ at the distance of 124 Km on the north-eastern side of Las Vegas.
Mesquite lays in ‘Virgin River’ Valley. This place is home to numerous retirees. One would also find a number of golf courses and casino resorts over here.
Previously, Mesquite was named ‘Mesquite Flat’. This name was given by Mormon pioneers. Final establishment took place after putting up efforts for the 3rd time; after getting flooded out; thanks to Virgin River. The shortening of the title took place later on and incorporation took place in the year 1984 in the month of May.
As per US Census Bureau, total area of Mesquite is 40.5 sq. Km; out of which 2.17%25 consists of water.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Mesquite was 9389; with its density being 236.8 per sq. Km.
