Wellington State Park located on the shore of Newfound Lake is 204 acres in area. It boasts of the largest freshwater swimming beach in the whole of New Hampshire. Hiking trails and picnic areas along the shore afford views of one of the deepest and clearest lakes in the state. A well-marked hiking trail leads from the park and provides hiker’s access to Goose Pond, the Sugarloafs, Bear Mountain, and Welton Falls at Mt.Cardigan.

The Homestead Restaurant
is a charming historic 1788 farmhouse. It offers a wide variety of menus and accommodations. The Homestead has been a New Hampshire favourite for over thirty years.

The Mill in the Newfound Lake Region has a unique atmosphere, where one can taste the best homemade ice cream that one can ever get, old-fashioned handmade fudge, light-fare, and views overlooking the Newfound River with live music and events. This historic Mill is a great destination for locals and visitors alike.
