Charlestown town is situated in Sullivan County in New Hampshire. This town comprises of North Charlestown, Hemlock Center and South Charlestown. This area was granted by Colonial Governor Jonathan Belcher of Massachusetts in 1735. It got settled in 1740, as Plantation number four, it was the northernmost township. This town was incorporated in 1783.
