Tourist Guide Chester:

Chester town has a total area of 26 square miles. The city lies mostly within the Piscataqua River watershed, though the western edge of town is in the Merrimack River watershed.

According to the U.S. census of 2000, there were 3,792 people in the town. The population density was 146.4 people per square mile. Many racial sections can be seen in the Chester town such as White, African American, Native American, Asian and people from other. Hispanic or Latino of any race was of the population.

The Chester City holds a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
The society provides history buffs with access to historic documents, antiques and artefacts documenting the region.

The new cultural centre is reinventing what the historical society did creating a neighbourhood centre for social and cultural activities, including music, theatre, dance, film and children’s programmes.
