The New Hampshire Historical Society has been preserving the past history of the city since 1823. It also tells the rich stories of each generation for its visitors through displays of artifacts, photos and galleries. Here, there are extensive collection of archives and objects which are directly related to the history of New Hampshire.  There are also exhibitions at the museum on the heritage of the museum and its traditions.
