Derry is situated in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. As per the Census Bureau of US, the town has a total area of 36.7 square miles. Warner Hill is the town’s highest point above the sea level at 605 feet (184 m). The Derry city is drained by the Beaver Brook. As per the census of 2000, Derry’s population was 34,021 people. Many racial people can be seen in the Derry city & according to the census a number of races exist here such as White, African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, and from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino are also found here.
The Greater Derry Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization, rescuing animals and placing them at permanent loving homes. The city & surrounding countryside has become well-known in the recent years for its artistic legacy producing talents to win the Nobel Prize.
The popular tourist attractions are St Eugene’s and St Columb’s Cathedrals and the annual Halloween street carnival.
