The Franconia Notch State Park is situated in the White Mountains in north of New Hampshire. It includes the Flume Gorge and visitor center, fishing in Echo Lake and Profile Lake, the Old Man of the Mountain historical site and also many miles of ski, biking and hiking trails. This park is home to Cannon Mountain, which is a state owned ski resort opened in 1930s. It is said that the Wisconsin Glacier created the terrain which is at present the Franconia Notch State Park around 15,000 years ago.
