Rockingham Park Race Track is situated in Salem and is a one mile horse racing establishment. It was first built in 1906, and was used as an area for most of the people to gamble on the weekends. At present, Rockingham Park hosts standard bred races. Further, this park was the first place to receive car gates for starting races in 1998. In 1906, this one million park track opened its doors to 10,000 fans who came by train from across the globe. This track is also a wonderful place to check out the ponies.
