The Lake Winnipesaukee Museum is located in Laconia, Tilton. The historical society was founded by Bob Lawton and his son Tim in 1985. The museum promotes the history and heritage of Lake Winnipesaukee. The historical society organizes a series of lectures featuring various aspects on the lake from an historical perspective known as Winnipesaukee Wednesdays.
